When a delicious treat becomes Medicine

The combination of raw organic dark chocolate and sweet coconut is juts perfect. For this cake, which looks great for a festive lunch or can be also made using a small muffin tray for individual serve, I have been adding as I often do, some beautiful Lemon and Tangerine Essential oils. These pure Young Living Oils, guaranteed unadulterated and free of synthetic constituents have a high vibration  and can be ingested.
Young Living Tangerine Essential Oil is one of my favourite. I love the fragrance and its uplifting effect. Tangerine is known for its calming, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory properties. It  is also rich in a powerful antioxidant d-limonene and may help improve digestion and clearing the lymphatic system. Tangerine is a very grounding oil, which works on the Root and Sacral Chakra and brings about a sense of joy and security.

I use Lemon Essential oil almost everyday in my water in alternance with Slique Essence, a combination of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, spearmint, and ocotea with stevia extract in a unique blend that supports healthy weight management.

Raw Dark Chocolate and Coconut Cake Recipe

All products used in this recipe are raw and organic. Coconut is a rich source of lauric acid (antifungal, antimicrobial) and dietary fibre. Raw cacao contains 10 grams of flavonol antioxidants per 100 grams, it is a great source of magnesium, serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenylethylamine (PEA), which are associated with feelings of well being and help alleviate depression. 

Base

  • 1/2 cup activated raw almond
  • 2 cup shredded coconut
  • ½ to ¾ cup coconut oil
  • 4 tbsp almond milk (make your own it is very easy)
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut butter
  • ½ cup (or a bit less) of raw agave syrup, yacon or coconut nectar

Place the ingredients into your food processor and blend. Spread and press the mixture over your base. Place in the fridge.

Raw dark Chocolate Coconut Cake

Tangerine Raw Cacao cover

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup raw cacao
  • ½ cup (or a bit less) raw agave syrup, yacon or coconut nectar
  • 3 drops of Young Living Tangerine Essential oil + 2drops lemon Essential oil (delicious and uplifting)

Place the ingredients into a bowl and mix until smooth and well combined. Pour the chocolate over your slice and use the back of a spoon to spread it to the edges. Add coconut flakes and goji on top.

Place in the fridge for several hours to set. Enjoy 🙂
