Here are two easy and delicious recipes that my students and guests enjoy and are full of goodness and no nasty sugars. Raw caco is a fabulous source of natural chemicals called flavonoids, a type of antioxidant compound that promotes general health, improve the mood and might lower your risk of several diseases.

Plenty of reasons to enjoy these treats 🙂

Raw Cacao and Goji Slice
Ingredients:

Base-
1 cup activated raw almonds

1 cup activated raw hazelnut

½ cup Medjool dates, pitted

½ cup Hempseeds

3 tablespoons Coconut oil or cacao butter
2 tablespoons coconut nectar

Topping-

1/4 cup raw cacao

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup (or a bit less if you like your caco bitter) coconut syrup

½ cup Goji berries

 

Directions:
1. Place all base ingredients in food processor and blend on high until the nuts are finely ground.
2. Press firmly in a tin and put in fridge for few hours or overnight.
3. Prepare topping, place coconut oil in a bowl over some hot water, until it is melted. Add cacco and coconut syrup. Mix well. When ready pour on base and sprinkle Goji berries on top.

4.Place in freezer or fridge until ready to serve (it is also easier to cut these when they are very cold). Store in an airtight container.
Raw Energy Bliss Balls

-2 cups raw, organic almonds finely ground ( or soaked raw almonds. You can mix with other nuts)

 -1 tablespoon coconut oil
 -1 or 2 tablespoons Niulife coconut syrup (or organic agave syrup)
 -1/2 cup soaked goji berries or currants (discard water but don’t press berries dry) (optional)
 – 2 tablespoon raw cacao
 – 1 tablespoons carob (optional)
Put everything in blender and roll in shredded coconut.

Add if you wish 1 tsp Maca powder (feel good supplement), 1 tsp Spirulina in powder (protein and iron source) and Vegan raw protein powder or hemp seeds . Cinnamon, natural vanilla extract etc…
