Take it easy on a Saturday afternoon

Have you ever tried Matcha Green tea? I love it! Its taste is fresh and light and has amazing health benefits. We all know that green tea is good for health but did you know that Matcha tea contains up to 137 times the antioxidants of regular green tea? Matcha is a powerful antioxidant, 100% pure organic green tea leaves ground into powder. You can drink it and use it in different recipes sweet or savoury. A great addition to buckwheat pancakes for example 🙂

In this recipe I have added to Cacao and Matcha the delicate touch of Lavender.Try it! It is fabulous! A tiny drop into your herbal tea after dinner will help promote a good night sleep. Many famous Chefs in Europe have introduced Lavender and other unusual natural flavours to their cooking with great success.

 

Ingredients for 12 to 14 Bliss Balls

·      2 cup ground almonds

·      2 Tbsp Matcha green tea powder

·      3 Tbsp melted coconut oil

·      ½ cup Coconut nectar or Yacon

·      ½ cup dried wild blueberries or currants

·      2 fresh Medjool dates, pitted

·      2 drops Lavender Essential oil

·      1 pinch of salt

·      shredded Coconut

Place all ingredients in your blender. Form into balls and roll them up in Cocoa Dust. Keep in Fridge.

A word of caution,

With essential oils quality is Essential!  Take caution, not all essential oils are equals! Make sure that the oils you use and wish to ingest are organic, therapeutic grade and listed as dietary supplements. I use and recommend Young Living essential oils (TGA approved).
