Have you heard about the mirror effect? When someone’s words or attitude really pushes your buttons, instead of just reacting with your usual emotional answer, ask yourself:

“Why does it touch me that much?”

“Where does my reaction come from?”

“Who in my family had the same behaviour or made me feel as I do today?”

You will be surprise that most of the time your emotional reactions have roots in your past. Our subconscious mind stores our experiences (negative and positive) from childhood and every similar event will trigger the same reaction. To stop the pattern and make your life happier and healthier and improve your relations, you need to develop your ability tobecome aware of what is happening.

We spend a lot of effort to improve the external conditions of our lives, but in the end it is always the mind that creates our experience of the world and translates this experience into suffering or wellbeing. If we develop our awareness and transform the way we perceive things, we transform the quality of our lives and of our health.

We have the power to learn to observe our thoughts and emotions, understand how our brain works and how we can consciously change it, and find tools to strengthen and rewire the neural circuits that generate happiness, love, health and inner peace.
